Why the Hollower Stilluit Is So Powerful
Hydration in Dune: Awakening directly impacts your stamina regeneration, movement speed, and overall survivability. Most early-game stillsuits only provide hydration and offer minimal protection. In contrast, the Hollower Steel Suit delivers 64 armor, vastly outperforming the Kirab Steel Suit, the best non-unique iron-tier stillsuit, which offers just 10 armor.
Even when compared to actual armor sets, the Hollower Steelsuit holds its own. For instance, it has significantly more protection than the Kirab Scout Jacket, which has only 34 armor. Combine that with its stillsuit-level water retention, and you have an early-game item that’s both a defensive powerhouse and a hydration management tool—an unbeatable combo in the harsh desert of Arrakis.
Where to Find It
The Hollower Steel Suit can currently be found in a PvE chest southwest of the trading outpost in Hagga Basin South, at Dewgap Gateway. The chestpiece has a 25% drop rate, and although this may change post-launch, it’s your best shot early on. It is RNG, however even if you don’t get lucky and get the chestpiece the first time, it is definitely wort it to come back for it and try to roll for the recipe again.
Maximize Your Chances
Looting as a group is optimal. PvE chests allow every player to open them individually, giving each teammate a chance to get the blueprint. PvP chests do not—only the first opener gets the contents. Once you acquire the blueprint, head straight to your base and learn it. Dying before learning it—especially to sandworms—means losing both the item and recipe permanently.
